Development of the commercial scale shale oil industry in Northwest Colorado will have significant socioeconomic impact on the local communities.

We at AMSO are well aware of the potential impact that oil shale development will have on the region, and it is our commitment as good corporate citizens to act responsibly and be mindful on the local community interest and values.

We undertake to operate in an open, transparent and honest manner in all stages of our plan - from early design to construction and operations; and from the small scale pilot stage to commercial development.

We will strive to keep the local community members informed and knowledgeable of our activities, be they politicians, business leaders, environmental protection groups or any interested member of the community.

We will seek their input and contributions, and make every effort to make sure they are involved.

At all stages, our goal will be to minimize any disruptions to their daily lives or to the socioeconomic balance of the region.

This commitment manifests itself in our continuous effort to hire or retain local consultants and experts

We believe that their longstanding involvement in the region that is their home will help us stay true to our commitment to a socially responsible development.

Our unique process will not strain the local infrastructure: Even at commercial stage, the AMSO process is estimated to require approximately 300 employees (to support a 100,000 barrels per day plant)
